Impressive, but you have o start thinking...in the middle of a dogfight/or dodging a missile, when would a flat spin really be a benefit?

Do they think the enemy pilot/missile is gonna stop in mid-air and think 'Damn that's cool' and fly away? hehe

The aim behind these kind of post stall manouvres is to get a firing position in your enemy before he can on you, missiles will have a cone of effectiveness directly ahead of thier launch position. I've yet to see someone try and launch a missile from one of these manouvres though, usually the missile is released before the engine ignites so if you're at a funny angle of attack I guess keeping the missile stable could be tricky. Then there's the fact that everyone carrys beyond visual range missiles these days, though with stealth getting more common these will presumable become less use.

LOL! looks good from the ground on airshow day but it's lost all it's energy and is heading in an entirely predictable direction.

Guess what happens next?
