Fireball Dinghy Cover
Discussion
Hi all,
I'm after a cover for the dinghy, i've seen a couple in the £130 range which seem to do everything I need them to do. The cover needs to be for towing, long term storage and easy enough to remove, put on etc.
Are there any reccomended covers or does anyone even have a second hand one for sale?
Dave!

Keep checking sailing forums like the one below. I've seen covers at reasonable prices for various boats.

2nd hand covers in good nick are very rare, usually they get to ecosystem status (like mine) and need replacing.
Two schools of thought..."canvas" covers will allow the boat to breathe and are definitely better for an epoxy Fireball like a Winder, "plastic" covers are much easier to keep clean but don't let the boat breathe.
Two companies worth trying are Speed Sails and Pinnel & Bax. Get a flat cover though if you want to tow, and an undercover is worth the investement too if your boat is shiny underneath and you want to avoid stone chips and exhaust fumes.
