Low, slow and bloody noisy - Cardiff 1.30am
Discussion
Any ideas as to what it may have been?
made me jump out of bed, I was expecting a big explosion as it was that low.
Not a modern jet, very much old school, very noisy, slow and deep. We do get the odd VC10 coming over from St Athan but they are usually from an east - west direction and only during the day - this seemed to be going north-south and even slower and noisier than a vc10, couldnt see it as it was on the other side of the house.
Suggestions please.
cheers

Two DC8s were at Cardiff yesterday, and weren't there today, so it may have been one of them departing. Obviously noise abatement procedures didn't help you out at all!
ETA: I think they departed to Lyneham - rumour was that they were on their way back from Haiti.
