I caught a piece on the TV last night about an historic boat museum in Basildon that was closing ( In fact had closed already ) loads of stuff including the Hunstman ( or was it the smaller Huntress ) driven by James Bond in one of the early films ,also saw a Riva some aquaplanes and according to the narrator some Bluebird prototypes . I understood that all the kit was lent to the museum and was going to be returned so nothing will be lost , wish I had known about it ! anyone here been ?

Yes, I've been. It was pretty good, big archive of magazines etc too.

Its a Huntress, an ex navy one mocked up to look like the Bond boat.

There is a group of 'friends of the museum' looking for a new collection as a whole.
