The last example is displayed at Fort Paul near Hull. It was transported form The Army Museum of Transport in Beverley when it was sold off for development. Very good info inside it and Fort Paul is well worth a visit. Reminded me of a double decker with wings!

I think in flew into Paul airfield to be used as a clubhouse or bar before being preserved.

I have seen a lot of piccies of Beverlies in Africa in the displays.

IIRC is was featured on a TV programme a few years back - can't remember which one, may have been one of the Chris Barrie 'Massive' series

I went to Hendon in about 1985/1986 when their one was still outside. It was scrapped in 1989. Another one was on display at the Southend Historic Aviation Museum in 1971. When the museum closed it sat outside for years being weather-beaten and vandalised. It was scrapped in 1989 as well.

There was also one that sat on the southern perimeter track loop at the RAFGSA Centre at Bicester. It disappeared in the late '70s

Wonderful old things, I worked on these in Aden, the worse thing was getting the used toilets out of the boom and down into the freight bay. You learnt to be very careful very quickly !!!!
