Couldn't decide whether to put this thread here or Film & TV but as it's specifically about railways I thought I'd more likely get interest here...

Anyway, a few years ago there used to be railway stuff on TV. I used to watch a series called Souther Steam on some kind of Rural Channel (mstly about horses) and there was also a series with some chap who was quite funny making a garden railway which I think was on Discovery Home & Leisure.

Point is that I think both of these channels have come and gone and there's not much UK railway stuff on TV (I have Sky but I assume same is true for Freeview) these days. Anyone seen anything good worth recording? scratchchin

'Mark Williams on the Rails' is an excellent series about the invention and development of railways.

It's being shown on 'Discovery' throughout Monday 5th.

Thursday nights 8pm on Rural Tv has an hour of mostly American stuff.
