You'd need a healthy Euromillions win for that, but I suspect there are slightly smaller and slightly more affordable alternatives.

What are the tax implications of having it as a main residence?

I think I'd stick with mine even if I did have a big Euromillions win; at least I can take it to the pub! And 8 mill would buy some rather exotic cars...

Can't help thinking I'd be bored spending a year on the same ship. Would probably appeal to the older generation more. If I were spending that kind of money I'd spend more and get my own yacht.

I get a room in Vegas. It would have to be done. I'd get speed-dials put on the phone for booze, gambling, drugs, and strippers obviously.
