So sitting in my flat yesterday evening with Plymouth station at the end of the street and I hear a loud whistle that definitely doesn't belong to no Virgin Express commuter train so I grabbed my phone and legged it up the street to find this heading off up the main line into the South West...

Sometimes I love living near a station! cool

Anyone else seen some steam out and about or just me?

I work right next to the mailine from Basingstoke to Waterloo and often hear the Orient Express (i presume) chuffing by; scares the st out of me as it always whistles just by my office window in Farnborough

Very nice to see it was too and it was interesting to see that they can still pull a crowd as well, there were people lining up all the way up the fence and over the bridge.

I caught this one going through on a weekend last August, nice to see it on the mainline as well as the branchline charities.

If you want to find out what and when anything else might be passing, use www.uksteam.info/tours

As you appear to be near Paddington, you'll find quite a few.
