I think you can see the pilots bare legs and sandals in the picture of Farage in the cockpit before take off. Why wasn't the pilot wearing trousers and was it a contributing factor to the crash ?

Just been anounced on BBC, presumably from details obtained from either ther pilot and Farage-
The pilot made FIVE attempts to snag the banner. On the fifth attempt, the pilot misjudged the manoeuver and got the banner caught up around the tail, causing him to lose control and the plane to crash.
