Farnborugh Airport - today - Practising for the Airshow?

Hi

Hopefully Eric Mc or someone else local will shed some light on this, but at the moment there are 4 aerobatic planes flying around Farnborough - are they practising early for the Airshow or is there something else on? Is it the launch day today?

I think the aerobatic team arer The Blades.

We just had a teardrop canopied Spitfire doing its stuff a few minutes ago. It looked like a Mk XVI.

I saw a little feature in last week's Farnborough News and they only mentioned that there would be a Spitfire and The Blades.

Whereabouts are you based? I'm in one of the offices next to the Ham & Blackbird Pub; when the Airshow is on the planes turn to come in to land right over our building

I'm close to the airport but the leaves have grown on the trees now it's springtime and spoiled the views of the planes. :-(

I was bloody sure I heard a spit in the last day or so...

A bit opf research reveals that this was the Spitfire that displayed two weeks ago at Farnborough. It's a Mk XVIe.
