Makes me wonder... do Emirates know something that the other airlines don't or vice versa.. they have almost half the entire order book!

Yep, they are going to wait for BA to go pop and then move in to Terminal 5.

More likely buying one of the cheapest ways to convey your passengers from A to B (assuming a reasonable loadfactor). Maybe they want a bigger share of the Haaj market.
