My "House" smells like S****horpe - Help!
Discussion
I live on a boat and love it, but over the last few days embarked on something which I thought would be a simple, albeit, messy, fiddly-carpentry gig. The removal of a cupboard and rather horrible little caravan-style dinette to make room fo a six-seater mahogany dining table (I kid you not, and yes, it fits!) has caused major problems as behind said cupboard was a steel bulkhead. Bulkhead now gone, but how the hell do you go about getting rid of that horrible molten-metal stink? Left all doors and windows open all day / night, but the S
horpe stench persists. I've sponged / hoovered / wiped, etc but it still stinks. Help!

With regards to the smell, dunno.
sorry, appreciate that was about as usefull as a fart in a spacesuit ...

No, wasn't structual. Angle-iron stopped an inch short of the roof and was a quick and cheap way of putting in walls (my Dad, a welder, went through this one with me and the sod made me stick fingers up into a cobwebby ceiling gap to trace angle-iron, and it finished 2 inches short from the boat's steel roof). Sod, I HATE spiders!!! As he said, if the original buyers had specified bulkheads in certain places, the boat-builders would do them in steel as its a hell of a lot quicker than making a bulkhead from wood. Thanks though. With regards to the smell, dunno.

Fart in a spacesuiit? Must add that one to "things to do" list. Sounds intersting - can one get pissed again on fumes, lol!

Aah, cheers for that. Now, I find steelworks facsinating, and got a clandestine trip round Scunnie a few years back. Amazing, awesome, sexy even in that "I like it dangerous" kind of way, BUT... Not in my home / sofa / sheets, etc. still no idea on the smell!
