Chartering a yacht Lymington / christchurch / poole.....
Discussion
Hi - anyone have any experience of chartering a luxury-type yacht from somewhere near Dorset? Probably Poole / Christchurch / Lymington / Weymouth being the limitations.
For a staff treat, thinking ideally something that would take 8 people out for the day, out and about the dorset coast from say 10 until 5, stopping somewhere nice for lunch with drinks / afternoon tea on board??
Seems to be a lot of sailing boats for charther but we were thinking something a bit mor luxurious. Saw this - looks amazing but we need something more modest! - http://www.adamgoswell.co.uk/sandpolo/sunseeker_sa...
If anyone knows anyone with an appropriately sized motor yacht who wants to earn a few quid for a day this summer let me know!

Stuart at Principal Power is a great skipper. Principal Power don't run their own craft but offer training or skipper services etc. I use them.
Is it a yacht or power boat you are after. The oyster 82 would be great for the day. I have a 2008 Sunseeker Predator 62 which has the usual jet skis and jet rib with her, great for Skiing etc whilst at anchor. She is coded for 10 plus 2 crew. based in Ocean Village Southampton if that was any use to you.

Example of Southcoast daily charter prices
2008 Sunseeker Predator 62 £3,750
2001 Fairline Squadron 58 £2,900+vat
1997 Sunseeker Portofino 375 £1,000
I have always thought one of the best boats for a day charter is a Sunseeker superhawk 48 or 50. Just great fun and usually start around £1,200 for the day.
Have a good day whichever route you decide to go.

My Brother is skipper a 64 foot Sunseeker Manhattan, based in Hamble. Coded for up to 12 guests.
Comes with a 'nutter' waterjet rib on the back that does 50mph plus
Can pass his number on to you if you like.
Would that be Connie Belle?Comes with a 'nutter' waterjet rib on the back that does 50mph plus

Go with mikes boat, stunning bit of kit and can't go wrong.
Take a look at speedyellows 'charter yacht' it's not the usual run of the mill. For team building sailing can be more fun as you get more involved in the day.
Speedyellow / imnuts2 there is a Porsche on town quay event in Poole on Friday 16th in the evening, 100+ Porsche in the quay. Thinking about heading round on the boat with a few Porsche & ph friends if you are about and fancy it. Usual crowd. Notice the font used for the boat name?
Should be tied up on town quay about 8.30pm if anyone is about and wants to come onboard for a cold beer.
