The Fw190 reproduction that was there last year won't be there this year. It ditched in the sea during practice for an airshow last month.

Ah, OK so we're doing it by a process of elimination are we? biggrin

You can eliminate me too - I was thinking of going to Yeovilton. I fancy a bit of Navy Action.

I was thinking more on the lines of Sea Furies and Sea Vixens.
(My dad was a merchant seaman, by the way - so I come from a long line of seamen).

Right. Do you have any Rear Admirals in the family?

You don't get Rear Admirals in the Merchant Navy - at least, my dad never let on they did.

I hope that's not the full list for Duxford, looks a bit small. I would have thought the two 109's that are at Fairford the following week would be at Duxford?

There is a few rumours floating around that, that may happen.......but as yet, not a lot is confirmed.
Some of the TFC fleet have also now got permits to fly in recent weeks, so I suspect that list will grow today/tomorrow as serviceability/pilot availability etc all gets tied up.

When you say '109's..do you mean Bouchons or genuine Me Bf109's?

1 Bouchon and I was told that the other was a "proper" Bf109.hopefully they're right as that would be awesome.

It would. There's a 'G' model Bf.109 airworthy in Germany.

EADS's Bouchon that has been re-engined with a proper DB605 making it in effect a Me109G-4.....so as close as you are going to get to the real thing.

Apart from the E-3's airworthy across the pond...if they are currently airworthy that is. I think there were 2 G models airworthy in Europe at least until recently.

Shame about the '190 - put on a fantastic display last year irrespective of whether it was 'real' or not!
