Any insider knowledge of Lymington near the Haven?

Morning all,

It seems there are a few yachties from Lymington round here.

We are going to visit some friends and spend the day pottering around the Solent.

I'd like to surprise them with a decent meal somewhere! Which are the best places to eat in the town within a reasonable distance from the Haven?

Easy... Egans (tel [phone])... best food in Lym by far... but make sure you book WELL AHEAD as they are usually booked solid.

you can walk from the grothaven and take in a pre-dinner drink or post-dinner cocktail (or 3) across the road at Graze

get them to take you for a walk around the back of the haven (out passed the rear carpark) and watch the ferries etc.
Does Mrs Cambell still own the little cafe/resturant? I had a Bluebird model signed from her

Shops are generally quiet dire but there is a HiHo silver at the bottom of town
