When are most of the interesting aircraft going to arrive?
Right as We are keeping this one.

Most of the aircraft will arrive this week towards the start of the week i would of thought.

So far, only aircraft that has stayed is the AC130. Sea Fire and Sea Hawk didnt land.

Many aircraft will turn up this week to have their display routines validated by the air show committee. Some of these will not land and just return to their normal UK bases when they have finished their displays.

I learn a new thing every day! Thanks Eric, never knew this, I thought they had to land, put their display routine in, get it OK'd by 'the committee', then do the display for validation that they can actually do what they have set out to do and then either fly back to their base before the show starts or stay at Farnborough til the show ends

I'm pretty sure it varies. Aircraft that have come from overseas will obviously base themselves at Farnborough so will land first, check-in and then do their routine at some point in the week prior to the airshow proper.

The Sea Hawk and Seafire were both based down at Yeovilton so it would be simple gfor them to come up and do their routine and then fly back home.

Saw a little jet go overhead here in Godalming on Friday, no idea what it was though as it was too quick and I only know the obvious ones.

There's a Herc and a Hawk parked up at the end of West 1 at the minute, I thought the Seafire & Spitfire had landed...

Was looking for an excuse to go out to one of our aircraft by the terminal. That would be it!!

Herc just left.

I'm too far away to hear any of the quiet stuff. Was it a USAF, RAF or "other" Herc?

The Vulcan will be doing its validation display this Friday during its transit flight from Yeovilton to Fairford and will then be arriving properly from Fairford on Monday 19th.

It was just the solitary red arrow - came screaming over me as I was driving behind the airfield. Damn lovely it was too, did a victory roll [it seemed like] just after it went over my head at about 100+ feet smile

It wasn't one of the Red Arrows. It was a solo Hawk painted all black - from what I could see. I assumed it was the RAF solitary display Hawk.

Will they post an ETA closer to the time? May pop over on Friday and have a watch if they do.
