Rowing equipment
Discussion
After some scrote nicked my oars, gates and pins for my rowing boat, I need to get them replaced. The oars are fine as they are handmade by a local guy, but the gates and pins are off the shelf items.
I bought them about 10 years ago I think and definately don't have the receipt or email with the name of the website.
Does anyone know of any good rowing equipment websites? The boat is not a sculls boat (it is a Shaldon Regatta dinghy) but does take the pins and gates that lock around the oars.
Thanks

I think Rhinochopig is right , there are Rowing Clubs on both sides of Devon and should be able to help you find a 'Pin' from an old boat although it depends on what sort of fixing you have on your dinghy to fit the Pin to. Gates are usually lying around ( although probably worn !) If you want new kit why not try the original Boat builder if not then contact these people who make racing boats but also keep spares. www.janousek.co.uk

I was going to add Aylings, and googled for their website. Ceased trading in 07 - what a shame. I also hadn't realised they were part of Lola as well at one point.Rower
How sad, a part of UK rowing history gone. I shall fill up a tankard and drink to their memory tonight.
