I understand that a Spitfire and Hurricane are doing a flypast over town today. Can't for the life of me find out what time and what route they are using. Any ideas oh learned plane chaps?

I normally forget about fly pasts, hear it a moment too late and nearly fall out the office window looking for the sky. As I'm only in Covent Garden and I resume they will be coming over Buck House or somewhere I'll go and wave this time!

NOTAMs are in GMT so both times are correct - 4 o'clock this afternoon.

No idea - but given the weather, it may have been they had to re-arrange the timings. Sorry you were disappointed.

I understand the Spitfire and Hurricane are staying overnight at White Waltham, so there may be an opportunity to catch them departing tomorrow morning (typically, I have to wait at home for a fresh skip to be delivered so that I can dispose of the rest of my garden...)

Smiler.

3 over the office heading north. Spit(s) + Hurricane(s).

Sounded fan-bloody-tastic

Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, due to adverse weather conditions, the route over London has to be altered.
frown Ah well. Would have been nice if there'd been something on the website or something, would have saved a few hundred of us standing around for a couple of hours for no reason.

I was round my Grandparent's house in Welwyn yesterday afternoon and saw what looked like a Hurricane and Spitfire in the distance, possibly followed by a B-25 Mitchell.

Sywell air show. Lacaster bomber came right over my house in Northampton very low, and a couple of what looked like Pitts in formation a bit later on.
