Does Jet Boat count?

Seats 2, jet drive, 3.5m long, but you don't get wet. wink

Sure, why not?

Mine seats 3, about the same length, 160hp, and the wetness is exponentially proportional to the height of the waves biggrin

Not an owner, but a member of a 'part-ownership' scheme, which sees me out on the water as often as I can! Loving it so far, something quite liberating about going 50mph into a massive wave and almost falling off.

I have one for sale, but I'm more of a RIB man myself.

What's Wavetime like? Seems like a pretty good scheme. We run a similar scheme here with RIB's but you actually own a share of the boat. We've only just started the scheme but seems to be going well. I'd consider the Wavetime thing myself if I lived closer to Poole. Do you get much use out of it over the winter? My RIB gets put to bed over the winter, too cold for me!

I've only been doing it for a couple of months, so I'm getting as much use as I can out of it at the moment. It's a pretty good deal when you consider your own personal costs etc. There has only been one time so far where I haven't been able to get one booked out at a time I wanted so that side of things is good.

I can envisage using it a bit over the winter, but it'll only be on those odd sunny days I would imagine!

The main reason I signed up for it was to see how much use I would get out of it, or if it just turns out to be one of the blokey fads, that we lose interest with after a few weeks! If I'm still using it a lot next summer, I might look at buying one, or investing in a proper boat/rib.

BTW there is a company down here doing the same thing with a rib for about £300 per month, something I would definitely do if I had a family to take it out with.

We have a Sea Doo at our place in Longboat Key - I think it's 220hp and is a Musclecraft R something.

Nothing better than hopping on first thing in the morning. Pretty sure its actually faster 0-60 than my car IIRC.

I too could help form the USA wing of the club smile Sarasota - We have 2 Yamaha 1400's which have 165hp each and 500ft/lbs thrust iirc smile

Awesome fun, especially the day before the hurricane arrives - Biggest I have been out in is 10-12ft waves, And in hindsight pretty stupid, Brown trouser fun, but very stupid

Currently running a Yamaha Fx 1.8, decent cruiser and reasonably quick at @62mph, I've ridden it to Alderney for long weekend, used 57ltr from Yarmouth.

I'm doing a charity ride in aid of Help for Hero's round the IOW next weekend, if anyone would like to sponsor me!.

We're on the Longboat Key Club - Gulf of Mexico Drive. Also there in November with a bit of luck. Starting to be a bit cold but should still be able to take to the water - Golf will be the sport of choice for those couple of weeks though.

Got two Waveblaster II 760ccs. Great fun on a choppy day. Much air to be had and you still get the thrill of being thrown off, much unlike the wider more stable 3 seaters.
