Halfax Nova Scotia that is...

We were moored up in the channel and saw this go by

http://en.academic.ru/dic.nsf/enwiki/520692
" During the annual NATO Joint Winter exercise in 2004, the HNoMS "Utvær" had to be disqualified from the exercise because it kept the entire landing operation at bay. It simply "sank" too many vessels. Including the Royal Navy flagship HMS Invincible.

Those of a keen eye may have spotted in the background the WWII Corvette

Shortly after, a Noggy Frigate appeared

Then we had a flyby

Ah, I saw you in the harbour. It's been a bumper year for pipe-layers in Halifax, Allseas were here earlier with the Lorelay (and the Calamity Jane, which I did the DP trials on). Every now and again interesting stuff wanders into Halifax, and the odd US nuclear sub creeps in and out.

Unlike the Flower class Corvette in the background. Pretty little ships in a functional sort of way, if a bit hard on the people who had to sail in them.

Certainly is, soon to be the "Subsea 7 Falcon" or "Falcon 7" or some such, pending the merger

Are you with Global Maritime, ND-GL or similar? I guess you were doing annual trials? I wonder if you work for a company that I've used in the past to do condition surveys!
