Saw this old film the other day - some fantastic (non-CGI!) flying sequences, especially the 'under the bridge' part where apparently the stunt pilot flew under the bridge 20 times!

Good fun spotting the aircraft types too.

Shot mainly in Ireland in 1965. I love trying to spot famous Dublin landmarks (like Trinity College) masquerading as Berlin.

I'v got a copy of "Aces High" with Christopher Plummer,Malcom McDowell et al.

Useless fact of the day is that some of the flying was done by the aviation writer James Gilbert.

Here's a radio documentary I have just discovered on RTE Radio's archive website about the Irish Air Corps pilots who flew many of the sequences for The Blue Max and some other WW1 films shot in Ireland (Darling Lilly, The Red Baron).
