Identify this please...

Pic on the BBC news page re Korea. Photo shows what looks like an F-16 (undercarriage, wings, tailplane, etc), but no central air intake. Instead it looks to have side intakes like an F-18.

I wouldn't have known the proper designation of it. In fact, there have been a few locally designed fighters based on F-16 components. I think the Israelis had one too.

Has the Korean one gone into production or been cancelled?

On hold at the moment, due to funding difficulties - looked an interesting concept (upgraded F-16 with stealthy 'bits' added on). I wonder if they'll find the cash now?
