The one narrated by Anthony Quayle and broadcast around 1988.

I used to watch it with my grandad, and we had them recorded on VHS (Long since vanished).

I remember it discussed on here before and I don't know what the result of that was with the people who wanted a copy but I've finally found the 12 episode set so if anyone wants a copy (on disc), give me a shout!

Great series.

I still have my original VHS copies. Is it out on DVD now?

And the resin model of that very Eurofighter is on my top shelf!

Except it's not a Eurofighter smile

It's the EAP - which was a proof of concept demonstrator and only possesses a passing resemblance tio the eventual production aircraft.

I remember it well at the 1986 Farnborough Airshow.

Remember the programme well. Got one of them a few years ago from Amazon. The Aeroplane Goes To War and Victory at Sea.

We're both right biggrin

ETA: As you can see I tested some of the missiles; next door's cat got a bit of a shock.

I've purchased Diamonds in the Sky, Fighter Pilot and Sailor.

I had been looking for Diamonds in the Sky for years. Guy managed to get hold of it. He's a Genius lol !

On the related videos column on YouTube there's the full Fighters episode narrated by Anthony Quayle. Which is nice.
