Where's the precedent for valuing an old, presumably unflown engine at such a stupid price though? Irrespective of how shiny the fan blades are, that starting figure immediately puts the vendor in the 'dreamer' category, and therefore surely no buyer would ever start negotiating a realistic price?My Dad, who sadly passed away earlier this year, may have worked on hooking that up into the airframe when he was at Vickers/BAC in Weybridge.
Unfortunately he only mentioned he worked on the TSR2 a few weeks before he died - but it did renew my interest in the aircraft.
However, this interest does NOT extend to 2 million smackers!!
