Looks like an optical illusion, doesn't it?
The Germans had them in small numbers in WW2. I guess it's a fairly sensible way of building a small helicopter without a tail rotor, it gets round the tricky contra-rotating hub needed for stacking the rotors, while having it almost as compact as a conventional helicopter.
