I would have thought that it would have been more than that as even an F-16 can pull 2 or 3g more than the pilot is capable of withstanding IIRC. It will be interesting to see how the first carrier ops go.

I think the "B" makes the difference

It is intersting (to me anyway) that the "X" designator numbers were not rewound back to 1 in the great "tidying up" of aircraft designations that took place on 1962. The X-47 number is in a direct line from the original X-1.
