Biggin Hill airshow on Google Maps
Discussion
I think the imagery has only just been updated. Much of central London also has new imagery.

Blimey, that's a shame. Do you know why?
About half way down the page, post by Synergy explains.http://forums.airshows.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=14&am...
The field off Jewels Hill (just west of airfield) where we often watched it from must have been photographed later as there are no crowds there, though you can see the parking layout in the grass.
such a pity it is gone from the summer calendar.
they also seem to have updated the aerial view of my house nearby but the resolution is lower than it was previously. was rather hoping i'd be able to see the huge pond i've been building

Thats a little bit mad that link.
It would seem me and my mate might have been caught on Google earth.
We were sat on the opposite side of the airfield to the masses. There are two dark shadows sat by the A319 Business Jet in the area that appears very white. We hardly moved from there over the weekend, in fact only to go as so far as the bar onboard.
Cheers.

Although the airshow is cancelled, has there been something else going on? I live about 6 miles away, and a few weekends ago there were a couple of spits flying about over in that direction, and also a pair of Yaks in close formation with smoke on. If it wasn't a display it could have fooled me - or perhaps practising. Then the other day a low flying Lancaster buzzed the house heading directly towards Biggin. Although we're very close to Kenley as well and I see the BBMF did a flypast on 26th June, maybe that explains the Lancaster.. I'll check the date. Happened to have the video camera in my hand at the time so got a few seconds of it flying over.
