Value of Outboard engine

hi, would appreciate the views of a wiser more mature boater !!

in a clear out of our workshop we have again remembered about the 2 x outboards buried in the corner.

one is a 'Scott Sport 18hp' non runner, probably worth next to nowt.

the other is a 'Gayle 25hp', we have been told that it has value, moreso as an antique/vintage, this is a runner or did a year or so ago(run hours unknown), anyone throw any light as to the possible value of this one.

First one is a Mcullock based unit around the early sixties but 18hp doesn't sound right. You sure it's not 28hp?

Second one is a Gale Buccaneer could be anything from late fifties to very early seventies. Part of the OMC group so think Johnson / Evinrude.

Both are going to be worth a little bit to the right person even as spare parts but you won't find it easy to find them. Probably just as likely to get picked up on Ebay as much as anywhere else or maybe a classic boat type place. http://www.cmba-uk.com/

I sold an outboard on ebay and it generated a huge amount of interest and lots of bids - so I'd suggest that's the way to go
