Recommend a restaurant in Bromley....
Discussion
Afternoon all,
Need a bit of help. I meant to book a table at 'Chapter One' for Friday evening for my 2nd wedding anniversary. Left it late, and I'm now on standby for a cancellation.
If you know the area and Chapter 1, could you recommend an alternative restaurant in the area?
If not, I'll be booking into the Doghouse for an extended stay......
Any help gratefull received*
Dom.

- I don't need reminding what a tool I've been!

As you probably know, Chapter One is pretty outstanding and there aren't any other restaurants near by with a Michelen star!
Have you tried Chapter Two (bit less formal) ?
Also Foxes Brassarie in Chislehurst used to be nice.
Not lived in Bromley for 18 months now so things may have moved on.

Used to go here a fair bit when we lived in Beckenham --> http://www.larascasse.com/
was generally quite good. No idea what it's like now though.

I haven't lived out that way for a while so can only suggest coming into town.
Pont de la tour around the corner from me is very nice, or perhaps Bluebird on the Kings Rd?
Best of British old boy!
Thanks Nick, looking to stay local. But good call, been to both and enjoyed them.I haven't lived out that way for a while so can only suggest coming into town.

Thanks Chaps!
Tamasha - best Indian I have ever had, and has an amazing reputation with the locals.

Piere luigis in beckenham is nice.
Coach house which is next to ruxley garden centre, the food is s
t hot but the restaurant is a bit like someone's front room, it's not going to be as impressive as chapter one but it is a good restaurant. It's owned by the same people as duo amici in chia whiter which again serves amazing food and is typically a village italian.
I ate at le rascas and although the food was nice, the service was atrocious!
Enjoy your night wherever you go

Second this suggestion...

There's a French restaurant in Petts Wood that I hear is reasonably decent - not sure of the name, sorry, but it's in the square by the station.
Thanks Dan, I think you mean Trenchermans. Got the flowers ordered and a table booked, job done!http://www.trenchermans-restaurant.co.uk/home.php
Thanks again for the suggestions.
