Salmon, mackerel, herrings, sardines etc.

We're always being told we should eat more oily fish for its health benefiting omega whatsits. Question is, what to do?

So, PH cooks, make something lovely with oily fish.

Three photographs maximum, closing date for entries will be 9am, Tuesday 31st May.

I don't like the strong oily flavour of fish, so can anyone tell me which would be best to use for a more meaty fish than oily from this list?
Oily/fatty fish.

Salmon
Trout
Mackerel
Herring
Sardines
Pilchards
Kipper
Eel
Whitebate
Tuna (Fresh only)
Anchovies
Swordfish
Bloater
Cacha
Carp
Hilsa
Jack fish
Katla
Orange roughy
Pangas
Sprats

(List supplied from google)
Thanks.

Are you allowed to enter an oily fish competition with a meaty fish?

Maybe i should have put "least oily and more meaty" from the list of oily fish.

Try Bream- still oily but meaty texture and great (not overpowering) flavour

This competition is working out expensive... I just ordered some Le Creuset cookware and some electronic kitchen scales! eek

(Ok, I would probably have bought them anyway at some point, but I figured now would be a good time as they will be a big help with my compo entry!)

My oval bowl went down well on the Pork chalenge and the finished dish in the recepie im looking at was displayed in a rectangular plate in the picture but im not going to buy new plates just for a competition.
