Blue cheese sauce emergency
Discussion
If at all possible, I would like to serve a blue cheese sauce over some little chunks of iceberg lettuce in about 3 hours time.
The shops are too far away and frankly I am way too down the gin bottle to even contemplate picking up the car keys.
A quick drive by on fridgeville reveals Roqefort, butter, milk and double cream. There will be some flour in the baking cupboard. Is it a go-er? Never made a cheese sauce before I assume its some sort of roux then crumble in the cheese?

No creme fraiche. What sort of ratio are we talking? Roux is always tricky and I only have one shot at this. Does it even need a roux? Can i just drop the cheese in the cream and stir it a bit over the heat? Apologies if that is shonky but you appreciate my despsaraetion and lack of ability to focus about now.

Have to admit I was drawn into this one just because I had to find out what in the world of blue cheese could constitute an emergency.
How did it go?
You mean you haven't heard of Blue Cheese Man?How did it go?
