Anyone else do this? Sat drinking a bottle of our latest batch of Red.

Think we've done 4x 40 Pint Ale kits and 4x 30 Bottle Wine kits now. Plus some elderflower champagne.

Alcoholic Ginger Beer, Lashings of it, and then some.

I left a beer kit in the airing cupboard at uni for 9 months, topping it off with sugar every so often. It was like sherry at the end of the year.

As per my post about it, don't leave it fermenting too long. Made some for a Royal Wedding Party, and left the remaining two bottles with the hosts. They left it in the fridge - one exploded Sunday blowing the fridge door open and everything off of the shelves biggrin

I have been making various things for about 13 months. I've some damson wine, 4 meads, sloe wine, kiwi wine, orange wine, 2 ciders, nettle wine, 3 ginger beers, some cherry stuff and 1 beer kit. So far it's been fun!

I can't get any decent dark beer locally so make my own. Brown Ale, Stout, strong bitter and ginger beer all on the go. Been brewing for almost 30 years now and its so much better using grain, adjuncts and hops than a kit - more time and effort but worth it.

Have got back in to homebrew on the strength of a previous thread. The Coopers' aussie beer that came with the kit was ok, but the second batch of Muntons weiss beer with added cumin and orange is a winner. Next up is a St Peter's brewery golden ale.
