Chicken packet soup or a chicken stock cube?

It dawned on me tonight that a good chicken stock cube actually makes a nicer 'instant' soup then a packet chicken soup.

However I then thought is drinking a stock cube drink bad for me? I know its high in salt but most soups are also

Any thoughts?

Perhaps a jar of chicken bovril might make a decent compromise between the two?

I grew up drinking OXO in a mug. Didn't do me any noticeable harm (I think!)
