I know it's (potential) blasphemy for a foodie, but I think the microwave works better than anything?

What's wrong with making tasty cold sarnies though? biggrin

Gone for a deep dish and foil in the oven this time.
Fair enough, thought it was just the roast meat - not the whole meal!
Yeah, 25mins in the oven (180°) should do it. Happy eating!

Generally' I'd avoid reheating the meat, as it's too likely to toughen up, and simply rely on a warm plate and hot gravy to warm it through.

One of my favourite comfort food dishes ever is:

-Sliced left-over roast -pork/beef best
-Sliced up carrots and onions on top
-All just about covered in quick gravy with splidge of wine or cider and/or wholegrain mustard.

Cover and chuck in a low oven whilst you go and do something else for an hour or two.

Knock up some indecently creamy/buttery mash and serve with the meat, veg and gravy.

The meat comes out really tender and because its been roasted gives a nice rich flavour to the rest of the dish. Sometimes think it tastes better than the preceeding Sunday roast. Costs pennies too.

Knock up some fresh yorkshire puds. Big ones. Stuff all the Sunday roast leftovers into one. cover in hot gravy. Eat like a cake. Sorted.
