I want to cook.
Discussion
Ok, so when it comes to cooking I can cook pretty much one dish successfully... which involves pasta, tuna and cheese.
Anyway. I want to actually cook something 'proper'. My 'little' brother is going to be staying with me over the summer and my Parents are picking him up today, and bringing him here tomorrow. Do I'll have four of us to cook for / having something ready for them to eat. Now I've had a look through the freezer (it's like a treasure trove in there) and I've found a bag of chicken drumsticks. Perfect. I already have a couple of packets of bacon and various seasoning stuff in the cupboard.
I did a bit of googling and found this, which looks rather nice - http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/bacon-roasted-chicken...
Just wondering if the PH chefs would change anything about that recipe, or add anything to it? I don't have a lot of cooking tools. I have a gas hob, george forman grill, and a Microwave combination oven (so it can do normal fan assisted oven mode).
I'll be trying the recipe out tonight for myself, and if I'm still alive in the morning I'll make it for the family.

looks good and is one of those dishes that can look quite fancy for not a huge amount of effort!
tips: use good quality back bacon.
perhaps serve with a green vegetable... asparagus would be good
trim the woody bits off the end, boil (or steam) it briefly and serve alongside your chicken and potatoes with a knob of butter.

Sorry didn't make it clear - I'm doing it with roast potatoes - 'cause they're nice.
Had a roast chicken dinner today, but was not allowed (due to it being too warm apparently) to make my usual famous roast potatoes.I will not let her talk me out of them again. The meal was a pale imitation without roasties.
Roast potatoes FTW!
