Last year I contemplated taking a refrigerated van over to Roscoff on a cheap day trip but then realised how much I'd spend when I got there so thought better of it laugh

Not to worry though, I have half a suitcase of merguez sausages flying in with a relative tomorrow night.

I love Merguez. An interesting sausage being claimed by the French, However it originated in Moroco. I presume the morocans took it to france!

we have carrefour in the UAE. fantastic selection and lots of frenchy stuff, but kinda pointless at the same time as they're one of the few chains who don't have a pork section.

Would be nice if they charged the french prices too wink

Camembert cheese for €1.50, and a case of beer for €5. Done smile

They are of Algerian and Tunisian origin not Morrocan. Having a Tunisian dad and French relatives I've grown up on Merguez wink

I get mine from a Sausage shop in Walthamstow and they are very authentic. I can get authentic Harissa as well not the rubbish you see in the supermarkets thats more like tomato puree!!
