Nom nom nom

I went along last year and had a great time, watching people who are far better than I will ever be at barbecuing, sampling the food they cooked and lusting after expensive ceramic grills.

There seems to be a bit more to it this year, I'm sort of hoping it's still fairly small (don't want to be sharing the ribs with too many others...)

Good name! I thought it sounded like Woodstock with BBQs - and it is!

I'll be there on Saturday. thinking about entering the competition next year- just have to see what the standard is like this year. last year it looked do-able. Would just need to borrow some more bbqs from freinds.

I'm there on the Saturday too, looking forward to it. I'm nowhere near the standard of some of the people who were there last year and this year it looks to have attracted a few more decent teams. I'm just hoping to pick up some idiot proof tips on cooking brisket!

I'm going on Sunday, can't wait!

OP how was it last year in terms of family friendliness - it looks from the website that there is quite a lot put on for kids. I ask because I'm probably going to have my two girls (2 and 6) with me for the afternoon.

Sorry for the late response. I am posting from the event, have had a lovely day in the sun, plus cider and some top food. I don't have any kids, but there are LOADS of families here and seemingly a fair bit of stuff for kids to do.

Gutted to be missing the ribs in tomorrow's comp, but i'll be doing my own!
