Temple Bar @ Paternoster Chop House

I know a few of you on here often host clients/colleagues, etc for meals, so I thought I'd pop a few words in here by way of recommendation (not normal for me, I'm usually complaining!) for the Temple Bar private dining room at the Paternoster Chop House, in Paternoster Sq, London.

I hosted a dinner for 12 (colleagues and clients) in this room last night and I was very impressed, as were my fellow diners. The location is separate to the main restaurant, in a room above and inside the Temple Bar Arch between St Paul's Cathederal and Paternoster Square as per the photo below. A very unique and quite memorable location...



The food was excellent, probably the best beef I've ever had, the service was superb, and the wine list bloody exhaustive.

If you ever need a private location for up to 12~13 folk, this might be worth bearing in mind. Before you ask, I've absolutely nothing to do with the restaurant, it was the first time I've ever been there and was so impressed I thought I would share..

My only issue last night was foolishly allowing my wine-buff client to select the wines. I'm looking at a four-figure bill starting with a 2 this morning..
