Norma, Copenhagen
Discussion
I don't know about Norma but I know of her mate, Noma!
A wonderful, lovely, and quite delightful experience with genuinely friendly and obliging staff who have all the time in the world for you.
The ambience is very pleasant indeed. Relaxed, almost to the point in being informal with lots of space between the tables. Maybe it's just me but this seems to be quite a rare commodity these days?
The food and it's presentation is, as you would expect, remarkable incorporating ingredients you would probably never even considered using. How does squid ink and sorrel sauce sound? On a pudding.
The food is extraordinary but the service is fantastic! We asked if we could see around the kitchens after the meal and were duly given a tour of the upper and lower facilities. We met Rene too, which was nice......
It's must do for any foodie ( or even a peasant like me ). If you're based in London it can all be done in a day with good time to look around the city and walk along Copenhagen's famous canals.
You've got to go for it, but good luck in getting a place.!
Burp!

Noma ! How my phone autocorrected that, I don't know.
I hear nothing but good things about the staff. I'm in Oslo, so even closer.
How did you book ? Was it a good three months in advance, or do you have any tips ?
I'm no foodie, a decent meal for me is more about the company. Our daughter is nearly two now, I can count on one hand the amount of times we've gone out on a 'big one' since she was born. I think I'd get brownie points gold status if I pulled this off at some point.
