duck egg omelette any good

i like normal omelettes but what are duck egg ones like ? whats the best tu stick in them how many eggs makes a decent man sized one ?

I find Duck eggs make a very slightly tastier omelette but TBH if someone made me one and told me it was made with chicken eggs I doubt I would argue.

As for quantity I usually use two good sized eggs (Same as 2 very large chicken eggs), bit of full fat milk and a touch of salt and pepper.

Duck eggs are richer than normal eggs. 3 should do it.

For anyone in the Reading area, the Bull at Sonning does a very nice 'ham, egg & chips' where they use jerk ham, duck egg and dauphinoise potatoes.

The duck egg is richer than normal, and frankly delicious.

try burford blue hen's eggs. they are small so you need 4 per omelette, but they taste wonderful.

I'd be loathe to use duck eggs in an omelette. Poaching or frying is where they're at!

No but according to Marco they are sublime. Narrow window in which to taste them so I believe.
