I've just checked into the Park Inn in Telford. I'm at a thing at the International Centre until Wednesday. Tonight, I have a supplier with me (Asian guy, not a fussy eater, but Ioves fish & chips). Tomorrow and Tuesday I've got 3 sales reps to amuse, in addition to my supplier. I like a drink, so would prefer somewhere walkable.

I've been in the Park 30 minutes, and I'm not enjoying it so far!

Splash out on a taxi.

The only good places to eat in Telford are here:

and here:

Honestly, accept no substitutes.

Thanks very much! Where were you 3 hours ago, when I needed you? We'll give one of them a go over the next couple of days.

I've just been out to the car park, and remembered I'm using a van, so I can't fit us all in. Someone else can drive, and I don't need to pay for a taxi. Happy days!

Although not technically in Telford, this place in Ironbridge (about 10-15 minutes drive away) does fantastic food and loads of different beers:

Happy days, indeed.

There is, to be honest, little to choose between the quality of the food in either establishment. However, for food only, go to the Old Oreleton. But if the weather is with you, go to The Fox (lovely location, and a huge well kept garden with lots of seating, pergolas, and views of the surrounding fields)
