A mates mother has a large supply of Bramley apples, and he has a 10 tonne hydraulic press which I sure could be easily adapted for the job. Anyone got any experience of cider making? Is it much hassle?
From having a read around the web it seems the basic process is:
Pulp apples
Press apples
Probably need to add sugar if using Bramleys?
Add yeast
Leave a couple of days
Decant to demijohns with airlocks
Leave a cou0ple of weeks
Decant to bottles, possibly with a bit of sugar if you want some fizz
Does that seem about right?
