recipes: unusual request

i know the square root of hee haw about recipes or cooking.
is there any recipe that will not work, or will turn out badly if the ingredients are added in the wrong order?
i've a feeling i've heard of something that doesn't work but i've no idea what.
it doesn't matter what it is, any or all suggestions appreciated.

anything that involves melting chocolate.

a n awful lot of bakery- the best would probably self saucing cakes- where you cook them and you get a hot chocolate sauce underneath and a lovely spounge on top. Very easy to make a mush out of these.
