Dunns River jerk marinade... No more?

Well today was the 4th big supermarket I have been to and not one had it in stock anymore.

Does anyone know if they have stopped making it?

Caribbean/Indian shops.

Hopefully you'll have a place like Harlesden, Edmonton, Tottenham, Southall, Slough or Reading near you where you'll find these little shops stocking fresh yams, ackee, cassava and a whole host of exotic produce.

Specifically dunns river? I live near Peckham half the shops are Afro-caribbean, if you can't find it I'll go on a local hunt when I have a spare hour and get the necessary supplies to post to you.

No not specifically that, its just that it was in my supermarket and easy to get.

I used to work with a west indian bloke who used to make it for me, it was amazing, but I am no longer in touch with him. I have 2 more places to try, if they come up blank I'll drop you a PM. Thats very kind of you to offer thanks!

Fresh Ackee?. Never seen that available outside here. I make do with the tinned stuff which actually isn't that bad.

Ah right, I bought the pot earlier incase you hadn't found anything elsewhere. I think it's the same as the Marinade you're looking for, all you do is add oil and chopped onion to it. If you want it, PM me, I'll post it to you, on me.
