There's a good ruby to be had a few doors down on Great Sutton Street once you've had a few.

If you turn left out of Faringdon tube and walk along Cowcross St there is a courtyard on your left with I think 2+ bars and lots of outside tables, etc - where the Pizza Express is..
There is also a pub on that street which has a large garden out back - up against the railway lines...
Or you could try a beer in The Bleeding Heart Yard (Bistro or Tavern) on Greville Street - again a courtyard albeit a little older in style.
A very peculiar 'outside' can be found at Ye Olde Mitre in Ely Court (a hidden alley off the bottom end of Hatton garden).
You're also only 5 mins walk from Paternoster Square - fully pedestrianised square with bars/restaurants - walk down Holburn Viaduct and it's right by St Pauls. Always top totty there....
