Anyone have any recommendations for good restaurants in Bath?

Ideally prefer something Italian / mediteranean but other types of food considered if its good.

Thanks

I can reccomend the Olive Tree, we had a good experience there for lunch, its an intimate restaurant and the food is well executed and beutifully presented. difficult to classify a style of cooking i would probably class it as modern british. worth a punt though.

we have also tried The Bath Priory which was good (a bit too posh for my tastes) but not the same wow factor with flavours.

A number of friends regularly go to Martini (Italian in case you couldn't guess) in George Str and recommend it very highly.

Not tried it myself but it's on the hit list for when the occasion is right.

Hole in the Wall. Had a great meal in there about a month ago.

Casanis is pretty good but not Italian, or really Mediterranean.

The Priory takes some beating. (Going there tonight, in fact smile )

Yak Yeti Yak for a Nepalese mixed taster dish. Really tasty and something a little different.

Should you be there during the day, grab a burger from Schwarz brothers, absolutely awesome.

I have driven 40 mile diversions to go via Bath so I can grab a burger, they are that good.
