Whisky/Whiskey suggestions

Tesco's currently have Craggamore 12 under £25. Like Talisker, its a good safe bet , not like a domineering heavily peated Islay
Other than that , it looks like Waitrose is stocking Bunnahahain 12 at around £30. Its an Islay, but not heavily peated. Good stuff!
Of course , if he likes , or you know he likes peated whisky, then it has to be Lagavulin 16

Jamesons if most definitely NOT peated (Irish whiskey typically uses no peat at all to dry the malted barley, whereas even the mildest Scotch may use a little). As such, i would avoid Islay and the Highlands altogether.
Potentially a Japanese whisky, or another premium Irish such as Redbreast or Tullamore Dew 12 year old?

Jamesons do a few special / limited reserves, I've actually found them pretty nice (the 18 year old limited is a seriously nice dram IMO - if a touch overpriced) - if he's a fan of the normal stuff, the more special ones aren't too far removed from it, but definitely warrant trying out.
I'd also look at a Tomatin, their younger whiskys are lovely and not overpowering, and if all else fails there's always my beloved highland park which remains probably my favourite distillery.
