I love middle eastern food with some lovely fresh pita bread but finding it in this country is a right pain. The supermarket stuff always seems to be so flat and rubbery unlike that lovely softness you get inside a decent one. Together with some decent hummus = lick

Are any of the supermarket ones any good? Or anywhere else to get them? Or anyone make their own?

Looking at trying this recipe - http://www.thefreshloaf.com/recipes/pitabread

I find that Marks and Spencers white pitta breads are probably the best of the supermarket ones.

We'll always get those (making a trip to M&S specially if need be) if we are having things like falafel etc.

Costco,

6 packs ea of 6 pitta, 2.30 odd, and very tasty when warmed. Oh and their hummus is good too.
