Now...... The scenario: SWMBO is actually preping food for once... in a microwave... obviously. Firstly yes I know I need to man up!

However.. We have argued ove what a microwavable plate is. She goes on about needing this microwavable plate. So crapy microwave meal at the ready placed on top of one of my finest plates then onto the glass looking plays in the microwave!! We all know surley that a microwavable plate is allready present in the microwave disguised as a turntable? Yes? Well no acording to her!

So just to clarify no seperate microwavable plate is technically needed.

Except that a microwaveable (i.e. non-metallic) plate will allow you to extract the resultant magma-like gloop without the little plastic tub deforming, and spilling nasty all over the just slightly too big to fit in the dishwasher big glass thing.

From my perspective, a microwavable plate is one without a metal decoration (eg narrow gold/silver edging)

So a plain plate normally suffices and saves taking out the glass one in the m/wave for washing, etc.

Ignore this man. He probably uses the big glass plate as a side plate hehe
