Hot Chocolate

Which is best? I have Green and Blacks at the moment and it's ok. Is there another worth giving a try?

I have been assured that making your own is by far the best. You need milk, dark chocolate and a bit of milk chocolate.

I made it with just milk chocolate (even though I knew it needed dark)and although it was sickly sweet the potential was there for all to see. It was very very decadent.

I am not well at the moment but as soon as I am better it will be the first thing I shall concoct.

What is the best hot chocolate for quick use at home? Tried Green and Blacks and its too bitter and dark for my taste really. Suggestions?

I use 2 squares of dark chocolate, milk and a little demerara sugar. Whisk on hob to emulsify.

Doesn't take and longer than a powder or charbonnal & walker. Rum, marshmallows & cream are optional.

SWMBO likes the Cafe Direct instant.

I just use cocoa powder, sugar and vanilla ice cream. Mush them together while the kettle boils, job jobbed.

Its either Cadbury's or if you want to make it from scratch try using Callebaut 70%

Three heaped teaspoons of Twinnings Swiss Chocolate Drink in a mug, pour on blue top milk heated for 2mins 40secs in microwave and stir. Easy-peasy and delicious!

I enjoy adding a splash of Cointreau to make it into a chocolate orange drink, bewdiful.

a bar of green and blacks [the orange spicey one and the chilli are both good] some cream and some milk. not sure of volumes as i just get bigger cups out if there's too much. adjust choc/milk/cream ratio to taste and for thickness.
